10th Anniversary 2011-2021

The Essential Cabaret

A distanced zoom cabaret essential service.

Join us on March 21 at 6pm Pacific Time to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Gotta Getta Gimmick’s chorus|line|cabaret. With more than 24 cabarets and hundreds of songs and singers, we’re back from hiatus to deliver an essential service online to all of our musical theatre lovers during these isolated covid-times.

Singing is one of the best medicines out there. Since March of 2020 the show-tune community has been suffering, unable to get together and belt one out for a hungry crowd. The Essential Cabaret aims to address this deficiency and provide some join and shared passion with the cabaret community we are missing.

Under the guidance of award winning Musical Theatre professional Jenni Burke and Victoria’s incredible songbird Sarah Carle, supported by producers Clayton Baraniuk and RJ Peters, the Cabaret will feature more than a dozen incredible singers and storytellers in an one-night-only live celebration of musical theatre and those who love it.

The chorus|line|cabaret is a workshop environment for actor-singer-dancers. Like a musical theatre gym, participants hone the skills of their craft with coaches, and expand their knowledge and appreciation of the form. Because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, individual workshop coachings will be provided to participants online, leading up to the cabaret on March 21st. At 6:00pm pacific time the work goes live to our audiences, followed by our traditional “Act 2” where you can bring your party piece, sign up, and belt one out for the group.
